Verizon Promotes LTE with Double Smartphone Data
With Sprint claiming that it’s the only carrier with “truly unlimited data,” competitors are trying to gain the upper hand through promotions and marketing. Verizon Wireless’s latest data promotion is making a comeback. The company is offering customers double the amount of monthly data on LTE smartphones.
After seeing a successful increase in LTE-subscribers with the same type of promotion back in November, Verizon has decided to offer the same deal.
The promotion started at the beginning of February, along with the launch of the new Motorola Droid 4. The marketing move’s main objective is to increase the sales of their new LTE smartphones and tablets. For the price of 2 GB of data, Verizon is offering 4 GB.
The offer is very timely considering the fact that more and more people are starting to make the switch from basic cellular to smartphones. Verizon has been heavily promoting their LTE network, and wants customers to make the switch to “smarter” devices.
There is yet no end date for the promotion.
